Planning of essay is crucial because

  1. planning helps you structure the essay properly.
  2. planning helps you figure out your conclusion.
  3. conclusion has to match the points you’ve made in the essay.

Are a lot of points needed?

  1. A good essay is possible from limited number of points (3 to 4 in total).
  2. If you feel you would struggle to meet the 250-word-count limit, write examples.
  3. Think about the examples while planning the essay.
  4. Make sure you use variety of vocabulary (a range of words; not just big words)

How to write about a viewpoint that you don't agree with?

Use phrases such as ‘those who oppose assert’ and ‘it is asserted’ when trying to convey that it is not your opinion
